Fermob, founded in the late 19th century by master craftsman Edouard Leclerc, has been credited by some as the chief driving force of the French art de vivre (the art of living) across the world. In fact, the quintessential French bistro look originated from Mr Leclerc’s Simplex patent which was registered in 1889.
One of the distinguishing characteristics of Fermob’s designs is its approach to colour. The company claims to be the only outdoor furniture manufacturer offering a palette of 23 colours for its products. Good examples of this are the foldable pink praline Bistro Metal Chair, chilli red Louisiane garden bench and Acapulco blue Cocotte deck table. The colours exude a sense of fresh exuberance into any garden or patio.
In case you’re wondering, the paints used are solvent-free. Additionally, in line with the company’s ethos of sustainability, the painting process uses the zero-waste paint line. Fermob’s long-standing environmentally friendly manufacturing and packaging processes have led to the company being awarded the ISO 14001 certification.
Fermob offers a diverse range of garden furniture such as tables (square, round, high, low, etc.), chairs (including stools and benches), armchairs and sofas and sun loungers. Beyond that, we carry other Fermob outdoor furniture like side tables (the round Frosted Lemon Guinguette Perforated table is particularly chic), lamps (check out the Bluetooth-enabled Mooon! Lamp H134) and cushions (the anthracite-coloured bistro outdoor cushion uses weather-resistant Outdoor Technical Fabric).
